Method: Pudding Put dates, soda and water in a bowl, set aside for 1/2 an hour until cool. Cream the butter, sugar and vanilla, gradually adding the eggs, beating well. Fold in flour and stir in date mixture. Grease 2pt basin - cover with a large circle of greaseproof paper with pleats. Cover entire bowl with foil. Steam at high heat for 40 minutes, and then simmer for 50 minutes. Sauce Gently heat all ingredients until melting and bubbling. |
